Following the Corona outbreak at the s.Oliver Würzburg basketball team, the Bundesliga game at Brose Bamberg scheduled for Saturday has been postponed. This was announced by the Bamberg team and the BBL. According to the statement, the Würzburg team has applied for a postponement of the game, which has been approved by the league. Information on the rescheduling will be provided in due course.
The Würzburg health authorities had ordered a two-week quarantine for a total of 20 players, coaches, support staff and training players from s.Oliver Würzburg on Tuesday. As a result, the club has fewer than eight regular players available to play a game in the Basketball Bundesliga.
As things stand, Würzburg’s game in Chemnitz on 15 January also seems unlikely.
