Gedlich Racing has announced the race calendar for the 2025 Winter Series: Double-header with 6-hour races in Portimao and Barcelona
From January to March 2025, Gedlich Racing’s Winter Series will once again make a guest appearance in Portugal and Spain. The season calendar includes a total of seven race weekends at five different circuits on the Iberian Peninsula. New to the GT4 and GT Winter Series program are two 6-hour races in Portimao and Barcelona.
The season opener will take place in Estoril from January 16 to 19. The GT Winter Series, the GT4 Winter Series and the Prototype Winter Series will compete on the former Formula 1 circuit.
One week later, from January 23 to 26, the same three championships will compete at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in Portimao. Both before and after this race weekend, Gedlich Racing will organize test days at the circuit, giving the teams the opportunity to extend their stay in the Algarve and gain more important kilometers.
From January 30 to February 2, Portimao will host the first 6-hour race in the history of the Winter Series, in which GT4 and GT Winter Series cars will compete together. The Formula Winter Series season opener will also take place this weekend.
The season will continue from February 13 to 16 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia. With 10,000 fans, this weekend, in which the GT, GT4 and Formula Winter Series take part, promises to be a highlight in the racing calendar.
From Valencia, the race continues to Motorland Aragon. From February 27 to March 2, the GT4, Prototype and Formula Winter Series will compete on the track near Alcaniz.
The following weekend, from March 6 to 9, the season finale of the GT4, Prototype and GT Winter Series will take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. One week later, from March 13 to 16, the second 6-hour race for GT cars and the season finale of the Formula Winter Series will follow at the same venue.
In the 2025 season, attending the races at the race track will also be free of charge. A livestream is also planned
