He already crowned himself “European Xbox Champion”. Now Ali ‘PredatorFIFA’ Oskoui Rad wants to attack with Werder Bremen and become eFootballer of the Year 2021.
The year 2021 has been both turbulent and directional for Ali ‘PredatorFIFA’ Oskoui Rad. He came up trumps in the Virtual Bundesliga Club Championship with VfL Bochum. In the end, the Pott-Klub topped the table with 123 points – leaving teams like Werder Bremen and Schalke 04 behind.
However, it wasn’t quite enough to make it to the big time. In the final round, his team finished just one point behind FC St. Pauli in third place. This meant that the team was already eliminated in the group phase – a remarkable result nonetheless. After all, both the eventual finalists St. Pauli and German champions Heidenheim were in the group.
In the Grand Final singles, ‘PredatorFIFA’ even made it to the semi-finals, where he was defeated by Serhat ‘Serhatinho01’ Öztürk. As a result of his first VBL season more than decent.
Thrill in the final – transfer to Werder Bremen
However, Rad celebrated his greatest success at the fourth European Regional Cup of the FIFA 21 Global Series. There, the then 18-year-old had to play against the favourite Dylan ‘DullenMIKE’ Neuhausen in the final.
After both had won a set, for which two wins were needed, it was a decider for the crown. The man from Bochum took it and was crowned “European Xbox Champion”.
His success did not go unnoticed, because in September he came to the attention of SV Werder Bremen. After things had gone rather downhill for the Green-Whites, they upgraded for this season.
In doing so, Rad was to follow in big footsteps, namely those of Erhan ‘Dr. Erhano’ Kayman, who ended his career.
In fact, Werder’s plans seem to be bearing fruit. In the current season, Bremen are second in the North-West Division – just two points behind leaders Hannover 96. ‘PredatorFIFA’ has played his part. He has scored the second most goals so far and is also second in this statistic with 14 wins.
