RB Leipzig are concerned about the availability of Tyler Adams ahead of Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with FC Bayern.
The midfielder was substituted in USA’s 2-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to hosts Canada due to a thigh injury.
US coach Berhalter suspects a strain
According to first assumptions by national coach Gregg Berhalter, it is said to be only a strain. An exact diagnosis is expected in Leipzig after an MRI examination, which is to take place in the course of Monday (local time).
Despite injury: Adams stays with the team
The USA will play another World Cup qualifier against Honduras in St. Paul/Minnesota on Wednesday. Even though Adams’ participation there is practically ruled out, he will probably remain with the US team for the time being anyway.
After the match, a charter flight to Frankfurt is planned for all US professionals working in Europe.
