UFL ahead of second beta: What the developer has improved

After the first successful beta phase, UFL is entering its next phase this weekend. The developers have many new features in store

The CEO of Strikerz Inc. is very much looking forward to the first weekend in August. “We can’t wait to show how far we’ve come since the first beta,” said Eugene Nashilov eSport during his visit to Cyprus. This is because the second beta phase will start from Friday to Sunday and will present a number of changes to the game.

For example, the shots: According to the developers, these should now hit the post less often and be less accurate from a turn. If such a shot hits the goal, the keepers would have stopped the attempt too rarely. This should change with the update. Certain animations and running out have also been adjusted.

In the case of passes, the animation when receiving the ball has been improved and is now more fluid. In addition, the players to whom a pass is addressed will be better positioned in future. The bug where a player does not pick up or control the ball after a pass while the ball is behind him has also been fixed.

The behavior of players who are supposed to take a cross in the sixteen has also been revised. Previously, it had happened that target players moved too far away from the point to which the ball was flying

Passive tackling and cutback in focus

If you don’t want your opponent to pass the ball in the first place, a sprinting tackle could help. The developer has added a new animation for this. A major change has also been made to passive tackling: The probability of a passive interception from behind has been reduced and rebounds from a standing player have been prevented. In addition, the speed of the intercepting player has a direct effect on the rebound distance. In general, the number of passive tackles from behind has also been minimized.

The best way to avoid a tackle attempt is undoubtedly a body deception. Strikerz Inc. has added a new cutback feint to its portfolio. Certain animations have also been revised. However, this only covers a small part of the very extensive list of adjustments – the complete entry can be viewed here. eSport was able to play the beta in advance in Cyprus and noticed clear differences to the previous version of the game
