Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the Europa League match between Arsenal FC and PSV Eindhoven scheduled for Thursday has to be postponed.
Due to severe constraints on police resources and the associated organisational problems related to national mourning events, the match has to be postponed to a date not yet fixed, UEFA announced on Monday.
For the same reason, the Champions League match between Glasgow Rangers and SSC Napoli had already been postponed by one day to Wednesday. The Queen’s state funeral is scheduled for 19 September.
Last weekend, the English professional leagues had already reacted to the death of Queen Elizabeth II and cancelled the 7th matchday.
