Tested positive: FCN pro Krauß missing from U 21

Tom Kraußwill not be available for the German U 21s in the next two European Championship qualifiers. U 21 coach Antonio Di Salvo has already reacted to the 20-year-old’s absence.

For the German U 21 there are still two European Championship qualifiers on the schedule this year – without Tom Krauß.The midfielder of 1. FC Nuremberg will miss the games on Friday against Poland as well as four days later against San Marino. The 20-year-old tested positive for the coronavirus, the FCN announced on Monday. Krauß, who the club says has been vaccinated and has “no symptoms whatsoever”, will have to go into isolation for the time being.

“It’s damn annoying that I now have to take a break for a few days again after my concussion,” Krauß was quoted as saying on the Nuremberg website. “But it can’t be changed either. The important thing is that I feel healthy. “

The 20-year-old made twelve appearances for the club in the 2. Bundesliga this season and was convincing. He was a wild card in both games for the U21s under new coach Antonio Di Salvo and got on the scoresheet in the 5-1 win over Hungary.
