Third Grand Slam start together, second victory: The duo Katerina Siniakova/Taylor Townsend harmonize perfectly on the tennis court. This has also been proven at the Australian Open.
The top-seeded tennis doubles Katerina Siniakova/Taylor Townsend lived up to their role as favorites and won the Australian Open. The Czech Republic’s Siniakova and the American Townsend beat Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia and Su-Wei Hsieh of Taiwan 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), 6-3 in the final.
For Siniakova and Townsend, it was their second title in their third Grand Slam together. Last year, the duo triumphed at the Wimbledon lawn tennis classic. For 28-year-old Siniakova, it was already her tenth Grand Slam victory in doubles.
