Tennis player Laura Siegemund has reached the semi-finals at the WTA tournament in Thailand. The 36-year-old beat Rebeka Masarova of Spain 6-3, 6-4 in the last eight round after 2 hours and 7 minutes. Siegemund will face Arianne Hartono of the Netherlands in the semi-finals on Saturday.
On Wednesday, the Swabian had played the longest tennis match in the women’s professional tour in 13 years in Hua Hin. After 4 hours and 9 minutes, Siegemund won the round of 16 duel against China’s Wang Xiyu 7-6 (7-3), 4-6, 7-6 (7-1).
