This is not good news for Chelsea FC – and not for France either: N’golo Kanté has undergone thigh surgery after persistent problems. The expected downtime: four months.
Kanté had already injured himself in the Premier League duel against Tottenham (2:2) in August and has not played a game for the Blues since then.
After conservative forms of treatment failed to find favour, the 31-year-old had decided to undergo surgery after being examined by a specialist.
As the club announced on Tuesday, the operation has already been carried out and the six-pointer will miss Chelsea FC for around four months – and the French international will therefore also be unavailable to the Equipe Tricolore and Didier Deschamps at the World Cup in Qatar.
