RB Leipzig not only lost two points in the 1-1 draw in Augsburg, but also two players.
Just before half-time there was a momentous foul by Augsburg’s Niklas Dorsch on Konrad Laimer. The Austrian remained injured, required treatment and did not return to the field after the restart, nor did defender Mohamed Simakan.
RB coach Domenico Tedesco explained afterwards that Laimer had suffered an ankle injury, while Simakan had muscular problems.
