Yann Aurel Bisseck has now made it into the German national team after a few detours. What does the Inter defender have to offer in EA SPORTS FC 25? And what can he still achieve virtually?
Yann Aurel Bisseck even considered ending his career during his loan to Vitoria Guimaraes in 2020/21. Despite his talent, the former Cologne player’s career did not always go in a upward direction. Bisseck took detours via Portugal, the Netherlands and Denmark before joining Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 – where he really took off.
The central defender once only played six games in the top two German leagues for Cologne and Kiel. Now he has been nominated by Julian Nagelsmann for the German national team. This is the result of his work and constant improvement at the Nerazzurri, with whom he recently reached the Champions League quarter-finals. But is Bisseck also in a FC 25 DFB candidate?
Not in top 15 German central defenders
At first glance, not necessarily: with an overall rating of 76, he is not one of the top 15 German central defenders in the game. Bisseck’s virtual assets are physical in nature – no wonder, at 1.96 meters tall. Jumping power (90) and strength (84) are the only two attributes above the 80 mark. Stamina and heading precision (both 78) just miss out.
Sprint speed (76) and acceleration (75) are decent for a central defender. Fair tackles (77) also, defensive awareness (74) and sliding tackles (73) leave something to be desired in the defender’s core business. Calmness (76) and short passing (75) enable Bisseck to play a reasonable build-up game in FC 25 – without stylizing him into a playmaker from the depths.
81 as potential – but on a downward trend
The Inter professional still has room for improvement in career mode: his potential is 81 points. If he reaches this and improves a few positionally important attributes, his digital avatar would be a good candidate for the DFB team in FC 25. After all, only six German central defenders currently have a higher overall rating. However, EA SPORTS has given Bisseck a negative trend in recent months.
The 24-year-old started right after release with an overall rating of 77 and a potential of 85 in FC 25 – he is currently quite far from the latter. However, as Bisseck continues to establish himself at Inter and collects more and more playing time, the developer could still correct upwards again in the further course of the season or in FC 26. Perhaps a DFB debut would also be an argument for EA SPORTS.
Mini chance of being part of the Team of the Season?
In Football Ultimate Team, Bisseck has so far flown under the radar. His gold card still has the 77 total points that he also had in career mode at the start of the season. In addition, the item has the PlayStyles “Anticipation” and “Edge” – albeit in the silver version. Bisseck has not yet received a special card in FC 25. Which makes him uninteresting for most players in FUT.
If you still want to use the player, who will probably soon be a German international, you shouldn’t have too many problems with chemistry, given his nationality and league affiliation. And who knows: if league leaders Inter win the Serie A with Bisseck as their defensive pillar in the last third of the season, there could still be a small chance of making the Team of the Season (TOTS).
