UFC boss Dana White believes the pair are “dead serious” and that the duel between Facebook and Twitter bosses in Las Vegas could be the biggest box office hit in combat sports history – he says,

Elon Musk challenges Mark Zuckerberg to a cage match – who accepts
Star entrepreneur Musk – head of Twitter, Tesla and SpaceX – recently declared he was “ready for a cage fight” with Zuckerberg, who is reportedly planning to challenge Twitter with a new short messaging service.
Facebook boss Zuckerberg responded on Instagram – which is also owned by his Meta empire – by saying “send me the location”, the standard response in the martial arts scene to such challenges.
Sounds like rich man banter. Dana White, president of the billion-dollar MMA league UFC itself, however, claims: there’s more to it.

UFC boss Dana White talks of “deadly serious” plan
On TMZ, White reports that he spoke to both of them on the phone for an hour and a half and that the matter was no joke. “They both said, yeah, we’ll do it. Mark Zuckerberg asked me, is he serious? I replied: I don’t know, I’ll ask him. I asked him and he said: yes, I’m dead serious,” White said.
If that is indeed the case, White certainly expects “the biggest fight ever in the history of the world” the result would be “bigger than anything that’s ever been done, it would break all pay-per-view records.” White predicts that the revenue would be three times that of the mega-fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather.
White also points out that both have martial arts experience, “Mark takes sports very seriously, he’s good at jiu-jitsu, Elon told me he did martial arts. “
Take no one’s word for it
So can Musk and Zuckerberg actually be taken at their word? Despite White’s admissions, reasonable doubt is allowed: Musk in particular has pulled off many publicity stunts of this kind – for both him and Zuckerberg and his new project, reporting on their alleged fight plans is free publicity.
The same goes for UFC boss White, who has not always been a reliable storyteller in the past either: he also benefits from the publicity for his product and for him personally – the news alone that he has a short line to the two business heavyweights is not to his detriment.
Zuckerberg, Musk and White should only be taken seriously when the two of them actually start the fight.
