The Orlando Magic declined a team option that would have kept Moritz Wagner in Florida and alongside his younger brother Franz for another year. But rumors immediately followed that both sides wanted to continue working together.
These circulating rumors were confirmed on Tuesday evening by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. According to the report, the German world champion will stay for another two years and receive a handsome 22 million US dollars in return. The energizer from the bench thus has the chance to continue on the good path he has taken with the Magic.
Franz’s older brother is undoubtedly a very important player for any team. Moritz Wagner can put his ego on the back burner and subordinate everything to the team’s success.
