Before the Harden trade to the Clippers was announced, Dennis Schröder and the Wagner brothers lost their games. Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic continue to add to their triple-double record. The NBA on Tuesday morning.

Suspenseful duel in Los Angeles: The Lakers turned the game against the Orlando Magic around Franz and Moritz Wagner in the final quarter and won 106-103. It was the first defeat for the young team around the two world champions. Franz Wagner put his stamp on the game with 16 points and eight rebounds (Moritz scored five points in twelve minutes), but in the end it was LeBron James (19 points in 33 minutes) and his Lakers who took the victory. Also, because Franz Wagner could not put the final three-point attempt in the basket. Man of the evening was Anthony Davis (26, 19 rebounds), who took a lot of burden off the shoulders of the “King”, top scorer meanwhile D’Angelo Russell (28).

Dennis Schröder has known the feeling of defeat a little longer than the Wagner brothers. The DBB captain had to accept the third lost game in a row after the opening win with the Toronto Raptors. The Canadians lost 91-99 to the Portland Trail Blazers, who celebrated their first win of the season. Schröder had ten points and eight assists, Deandre Ayton shone for the guests less with points (10) than with rebounds (23!). Also the Austrian center Jakob Pöltl in the dress of the Raptors grabbed a double-double (14/10).

Number 58 for Doncic, number 107 for Jokic

Luka Doncic led the Dallas Mavericks to their third win in their third game of the season, recording his 58th career triple-double away at the winless Memphis Grizzlies. The Slovenian finished with 35 points and a dozen rebounds and assists apiece in the 125-110 victory. Maxi Kleber contributed seven points and five rebounds coming off the bench.

Defending champion Nikola Jokic, meanwhile, excelled in the Denver Nuggets’ 110-102 win over the Utah Jazz. The Nuggets are still undefeated, which will probably interest Jokic more.

Brown and Tatum shine
