Has Bayern already made an offer for Gravenberch?

Bayern Munich have made an initial offer for Ajax professional Ryan Gravenberch, according to media reports in the Netherlands.

As reported by “De Telegraaf” on Sunday evening, the German record champions are said to have already offered a €25 million transfer fee last Wednesday for the 19-year-old midfielder, who is still tied to Ajax until 2023. Negotiations between the Dutch top club and Gravenberch, on the other hand, have so far failed to lead to an agreement on an extension.

A Bayern delegation had already been in Amsterdam last Wednesday to meet with technical director Gerry Hamstra, who has taken over from Marc Overmars at Ajax in terms of transfer negotiations. The German record champions are said to have offered €25 million, according to the media report, with part of the sum recruited from bonuses.

Gravenberch has so far remained tight-lipped about the interest of Bayern or other clubs, saying that his future plans lie with his father and advisor Mino Raiola. “If it happens in the summer, I feel ready,” he said back in February.

The 1.90-metre Ajax homegrown was in the starting line-up for the league leaders’ 3-2 win over arch-rivals Feyenoord Rotterdam on Sunday and has made 26 appearances in the Eredivisie (two goals) and eight games in the Champions League so far this season.
