Graf and Agassi change sports – and win a million dollars

Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi are legends in tennis. But the two are now showing off their skills in another sport – and winning big.

A different racket, but still successful: tennis icons Steffi Graf (55) and Andre Agassi (54) have swapped their tennis rackets for a pickleball racket and won the third edition of the Pickleball Slam in Las Vegas on Sunday. Together with former US tennis pro Mardy Fish, they beat former world number one Andy Roddick and former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard.

The former dream tennis couple showed that they have not forgotten how to play the game. Graf and Agassi won the first two matches comfortably – without losing a single set. They only lost in the doubles, narrowly losing 1-2.

Prize money of one million dollars

The two were supported by their children Jaz Elle and Jaden, who cheered them on in the stands. Jaz Elle shared a video of the match on her Instagram story and later posted a photo of the family together with the comment “The champs”.

With this success, Graf and Agassi secured a prize money of one million dollars. They had already won the Pickleball Slam last year.

The family remains active in sports anyway. While Jaz Elle works as a fitness trainer and devotes herself to skiing and horse riding, her brother Jaden was recently appointed to the German national baseball team – as a pitcher, he plays a key role in the team.

Pickleball is becoming increasingly popular in the United States. The sport combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis and is played on a smaller field than tennis. The speed of the ball is also significantly lower than in tennis.
