Golden Shoe: Kane draws level with Salah – Kleindienst climbs

In the current Golden Shoe ranking, Mohamed Salah is joined at the top by Harry Kane, who is the only Bundesliga player in the top 10.

For a few weeks, Alex Matthias Tamm was pleased with his top-3 position in the Golden Shoe ranking, but now the Estonian has slipped further, as was to be expected. In the latest ESM Golden Shoe ranking, published on Tuesday, Tamm is in 13th place with 28 points, together with Bryan Mbuemo (Brentford), Cole Palmer (Chelsea) and Patrik Schick of Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, Gladbach’s national striker Tim Kleindienst has moved up a place. The 29-year-old has scored in each of the last four Bundesliga games, which has now propelled him up to 18th place with 26 points (previously 27th). The tall striker shares this position with Mason Greenwood (Marseille), Raphinha (Barcelona) and his Gladbach predecessor Marcus Thuram (now Inter).

Retegui moves up ahead of Haaland

However, Kleindienst still needs a few more points to reach the top spot. Liverpool’s high-flyer Mohammed Salah is still in first place with 42 points. However, because Bayern’s Harry Kane has maintained his strong form recently and caught up in the ranking, the Egyptian and Munich’s top scorer are sharing the top spot.

Meanwhile, Mateo Retegui managed an even bigger increase in points (eight). No wonder, after all, the Italian scored four times in the game against Verona alone. Retegui thus pushed Erling Haaland off the podium, with the Norwegian now only in fourth place.
