For the 60th anniversary: Bundesliga clubs around Bayern and BVB move into Rocket League

On the occasion of the upcoming 60th anniversary of the Bundesliga, the German football top flight is entering into a cooperation with Rocket League. Six clubs around FC Bayern and BVB will temporarily become part of the game

Not with FIFA 23 or eFootball 2023, the German Football League is entering into a cooperation on its 60th birthday – but with Rocket League. Developer Psyonix announced and opened the promotion on Wednesday. Six clubs from Germany’s elite league will receive cosmetics that players can purchase in the item shop. These are FC Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Union Berlin, SC Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen.

The in-game content is available in two different packs: The Bundesliga Sticker Pack includes six stickers – one for each club – and is available for 1,500 credits. The Bundesliga Mega Pack, on the other hand, costs 2,500 credits but also offers more cosmetics. Beyond the six Fennec stickers, it includes six player banners, “Bundesliga Match Ball” wheels, “Bundesliga” wheels, a “Bundesliga” player banner and the “Bundesliga Hymn” player anthem.

Also fitting for the World Cup in Rocket League

The content is in Rocket League until 23 August, the day before the 60th Bundesliga anniversary it will be removed. The 2023/24 season will open in the German top flight on 18 August with SV Werder Bremen and Bayern Munich. In autoball simulation, the World Cup began on Tuesday, with the tournament being held in Düsseldorf. From a German perspective, the Berlin-based organisation G2 Esports is represented, although it will be competing with a North American roster.
