FIFA 22: TOTS gets more democratic – three top leagues to vote for

After the initial community TOTS, FIFA 22 Ultimate Team (FUT) will also open up the Premier League, Bundesliga and La Liga selections for voting.

The most extensive FUT promo of the season officially kicked off on Sunday evening with the community Team of the Season (TOTS) voting launch. Fans will be able to vote on “The Best of the Rest” until Wednesday before the selections for the individual leagues come into focus in the coming days and weeks.

EA SPORTS continues the development from FIFA 21 and democratises the TOTS: Traditionally, only the initial community selection was open for voting until last year’s offshoot, in FIFA 21 the Bundesliga followed surprisingly. For FIFA 22 the developer opens up two more voting options.

Does EA trust the TOTS-Votings this time?

The fans also get to decide the TOTS for Premier League and La Liga, EA SPORTS will probably do the pre-selection. Apparently, the developer did not completely rely on his fans in FIFA 21: Kingsley Coman and Marcel Sabitzer, among others, ended up in the Bundesliga TOTS without having been nominated.

Of the Big Five leagues, apparently only the Serie A and Ligue 1 TOTS are created entirely by EA SPORTS itself. The schedule for the major European leagues has already been set, but no information has yet been released about smaller leagues such as the Dutch Eredivisie or the Turkish Süper Lig.

First community conclusions to be drawn

On the basis of the candidates who are ready to be voted into the community TOTS, first conclusions can also be drawn about a possible line-up for the further voting. Serge Gnabry from FC Bayern München and Robert Andrich from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, for example, would no longer be eligible for the Bundesliga if they were voted into the community selection.

In the Premier League, Hugo Lloris of Tottenham Hotspur, Aymeric Laporte of Manchester City and Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace could be omitted. La Liga supporters may no longer be allowed to vote for top attacker Luis Suarez of Atletico Madrid and Villarreal aces Dani Parejo and Gerard Moreno. Provided, of course, they are voted into the community edition.
