FaZe Clan is the new Rainbow Six Siege world champion after a splendid run through the lower bracket. The reward was a hammer and a seven-figure prize.
For two weeks, the best Rainbow Six Siege teams in the world competed for the title – on Sunday, the final was finally played: Team BDS and FaZe Clan faced off in the final of the Six Invitational 2025. FaZe Clan, who will represent Brazil in R6, came out on top.
After the French opponent took the lead on the Chalet map, mainly due to a strong performance by MVP ‘BriD’, the tide turned. FaZe managed to equalize on Consulate before the quintet took a 2-1 lead in games in Nighthaven Labs and promptly sunk the first match point in Clubhouse.
FaZe unstoppable in the Lower Bracket
Not only because of the iconic trophy, which represents a golden sledgehammer, and the proud prize money of one million US dollars, the title was a remarkable achievement by the South American representative. Initially, this edition of the R6 World Championship did not necessarily look like a triumph for FaZe Clan.
In the group stage, the eventual title holder came in behind FURIA, another Brazilian competitor and title favorite. The first duel of the knockout round was lost after two close games against Spacestation Gaming. After a 2-0 loss to the US representative, whose roster included two former Inivitational champions, FaZe found themselves in the Lower Bracket. Any further defeat would have meant the end.
However, the collective around ‘VITAKING’ coped well with the increased pressure. A real fairytale run followed, in which the team from South America repeatedly showed nerves of steel – including a successful revenge against Spacestation and a 2-0 victory in the prestige duel with FURIA.
Brazilian brothers close the circle
The Brazilian final of the Lower Bracket was a very special game, and not only because of the regional rivalry. After all, Thiago and Felipe Sá Ferreira, two twin brothers and finalists of the 2024 Invitational, were facing each other. Back then, Felipe, better known as ‘nade’, had won in the w7m esports jersey against ‘Handyy’, who was already playing for FaZe.
A bitter defeat, which was followed by a happy ending for ‘Handyy’ – much to the joy of his brother. “Your time will come,” the FURIA pro Felipe had already commented on an image of himself and Thiago at X after the lost semi-final. After his twin’s title, he sent him further words on the short message service.
“I’m proud of you,” ‘nade’ began, and felt that Thiago’s performance ‘felt like a part of me had won too.’ Their family could now call ‘two powerhouses’ their own.
