BVB partially withdraws 2G regulation

The corona protection regulations remain a patchwork quilt in the Bundesliga as well, always changing. Currently, Borussia Dortmund is allowed to continue to ramp up capacity.

For the recent 2-1 win against FC Augsburg, a stately 41,000 spectators were again in attendance at Signal-Iduna-Park. The new regulations in North Rhine-Westphalia even allow BVB a total of 67,028 spectators in future.

How does this figure come about? According to the state government, 100 per cent of the seats may be filled since 1 October. That makes 52,692 seats in Dortmund. The almost 30,000 standing places may be used to 50 per cent capacity, which then results in a capacity of 67,028.

Who is allowed in? Fans in the stands are now subject to the 3G rule. Only in the VIP and hospitality areas is it recovered or vaccinated. The next home game, with an almost full house, will not take place until 16 October against 1. FSV Mainz 05. The club had recently announced that only those who had recovered or had been vaccinated would be admitted.
