2024 World Superbike Championship calendar: twelve race weekends, two new tracks

With Phillip Island, there is only one race outside Europe in 2024 – With Balaton Park (Hungary) and Cremona (Italy), two new tracks will be visited

The World Superbike Championship has announced the calendar for the 2024 season. There will be twelve race weekends from late February to mid-October, as this year. There will no longer be racing in Indonesia. Instead, Hungary moves into the calendar.

An event is planned for August 23-25 at the new Balaton Park Circuit. However, this circuit must first be homologated by the FIA. For the first time since 1990, the World Superbike Championship will visit Hungary again.

And there will be a second new track next year. Instead of Imola, racing will take place in northern Italy at the new Cremona Circuit from September 20 to 22. FIM homologation is still pending for this circuit as well.

The 2024 season traditionally kicks off with the overseas race at Phillip Island in Australia. All the remaining events will then take place in Europe. From Barcelona (Spain), it’s on to Assen (Netherlands) and Misano (Italy).

July will see visits to Donington (Great Britain) and Most (Czech Republic). With Portimao (Portugal) and Balaton Park (Hungary), there are also two race weekends in August. The most extensive month is September, with three events.

Magny-Cours (France), Cremona (Italy) and Aragon (Spain) take place in September. The season finale will again take place in Jerez (Spain). The date for this is October 11 to 13.

The Supersport World Championship will be present at all twelve events. Before the start of the season, there will be the traditional preparatory test for both classes at Phillip Island on February 19 and 20. For the World Superbike Championship, an official test is also planned for March 14 and 15 in Barcelona.

The Supersport 300 World Championship will take part in eight race weekends. These are Barcelona, Assen, Misano, Most, Portimao, Magny-Cours, Aragon and Jerez.
