19 minutes: Roma game in Udine rescheduled after Ndicka’s collapse

Last Sunday, the match in Udine was abandoned after Evan Ndicka collapsed. The game has now been rescheduled – only 19 minutes will be played

There was great excitement in Udine when Evan Ndicka collapsed during Roma’s game at Udinese Calcio and had to be carried off on a stretcher. The game was abandoned after 71 minutes with the score at 1:1.

The Serie A match of matchday 32 has now been rescheduled for next week. But not completely new. The match between Bayer Leverkusen’s Europa League semi-final opponents in Udine is to be resumed on Thursday at 8 p.m. with the score at 1-1, as the league announced on Friday.

19 minutes remain in which Champions League contenders AS Roma will try to turn a draw at relegation-threatened Udine into a win. Roberto Pereyra had given the hosts the lead, Romelu Lukaku equalized for Roma.

The game resumed in the 71st minute, without Ndicka of course, but he was already feeling better. The ex-Frankfurt player, who was taken to hospital with a suspected heart attack, left the hospital on Monday and his fears were not confirmed.

Ndicka cheers with his colleagues on the pitch

The 24-year-old Ivorian was able to celebrate Roma’s 3-1 win over AC Milan in the Europa League on Thursday and thus their semi-final place on the pitch after the final whistle
