14-point deficit turned around: Bayern show great morale

FC Bayern is back on track in the Bundesliga. Things looked bad for a long time against relegation candidates Göttingen

FC Bayern Munich made up for its slip-up from the previous week and showed great morale in the German Basketball League. The club from Munich turned around a 14-point deficit at relegation candidates BG Göttingen on Sunday and won 77:71 (32:46) after a strong comeback. Sylvain Francisco (16 points) and Devin Booker (13) were the best scorers in the team of Head Coach Pablo Laso, which had lost to surprise team Rasta Vechta in front of its own fans the previous week.

Niners Chemnitz successfully defended its lead in the table ahead of Munich. The front-runners won 106:84 (48:36) at Bamberg Baskets.

Würzburg Baskets, together with former series champions Alba Berlin, remain the top two chasers of the leading duo. The club from Franconia defeated Veolia Towers Hamburg by a commanding 96:76 (47:38) to win 15 of its last 17 German league games. Alba had won by a clear 112:69 against Tigers Tübingen on Saturday
