The “transfer window” at WWE is picking up speed shortly before the Royal Rumble: Damian Priest and The Miz are moving to SmackDown, a duo to RAW.
After Bayley’s move from SmackDown to RAW, two former WWE or World Champions are now going the other way: on this week’s SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis revealed Damian Priest and The Miz as new additions. In return, it was announced that the tag team A-Town Down (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) would be moving to RAW.
Priest and Miz to WWE SmackDown
Aldis received Miz and Priest in his office during the show. Priest immediately challenged them to a match, in which he defeated Carmelo Hayes. An encounter with the reigning WWE Champion Cody Rhodes also suggested that the “Archer of Infamy” will sooner or later get involved in the title race in the blue squad as well.
Another piece of news that WWE announced at SmackDown: At the Rumble, there will be a rematch between tag team champions DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin).
The contest will be a best-of-three falls match, in which the winning team must defeat their opponents twice by pinfall, submission, or forfeit.
