Historical novelty for German wrestling fans: WWE will hold a major event in Germany for the first time. The fight for tickets for “Bash in Berlin” is already starting
For about 30 years, the wrestling empire WWE regularly tours Germany – but this has never happened before!
For the first time in history, the show-fighting market leader is staging a major event broadcast to all international markets in “Good old Germany.” On August 31, 2024, the event “Bash in Berlin” will take place in the Mercedes-Benz Arena in the German capital. WWE revealed this on Wednesday afternoon at the start of its current tour of Germany.
“Bash in Berlin” will be the first “Premium Live Event” ever to take place on German soil: Unlike the other Germany shows, the event will be broadcast live to all international markets, with regular TV shows RAW and SmackDown spending weeks building up to the matches scheduled there, much like the other “PLEs” WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and the like.
The league – which, like the UFC, has recently become part of the new combat sports conglomerate TKO – has for some time been increasingly focusing on major events away from the USA. Now the German market is also benefiting from the trend, probably not least because of the prominent role that the German-speaking group Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci) has taken in the WWE program.
Fans who are interested in tickets already have the opportunity to register on the official WWE homepage, for the presale.
