Roman Reigns reveals that his contract expires in 2026 – after that, he only wants to add “one, maximum two years” and then move on to something new.
Roman Reigns, one of the biggest stars in WWE, revealed shortly before the annual highlight WrestleMania 41 that his current contract with the wrestling promotion expires after WrestleMania 42 in 2026 – and that he doesn’t want to stay in the ring much longer after that.
“After I finish the contract I have right now, we’ll probably have a year or two left at most,” Reigns explained in a major feature on the US entertainment portal Vanity Fair: ‘Then it’s time to move on to a less physical form of entertainment.’
Roman Reigns wants to move to Hollywood
Reigns, who turns 40 in May, had already announced when he signed his 2022 contract that the end of his career was not far off. Even then, WWE significantly reduced the “Tribal Chief’s” tour schedule – yet he has since enjoyed the zenith of his career with his more than three-year reign as “Undisputed Universal Champion” and the main character in the epic story about his Bloodline clan.
For several years now, Reigns, who is also physically handicapped by two bouts of blood cancer, has had his sights set on a second career as a Hollywood actor.
In 2019, he made his big-screen debut alongside WWE colleague and “blood brother” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with a small role in “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw,” with further projects in the pipeline or already in production.
On Saturday, Reigns will be in Las Vegas for the main event of the first night of WrestleMania, where he will face CM Punk and his longtime companion Seth Rollins.
