WWE hints at new big reunion

Will the conflict with the new Bloodline also bring Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins back together? There are clear signals on RAW.

One of the most spectacular WWE matches of the year is taking shape – will it include a spectacular reunion?

At Survivor Series on November 30, the newly formed “Original Bloodline” (Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso, Sami Zayn) will face the new Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa) in a “War Games Match”. However, two question marks still remain behind the cage battle that was already fixed at the weekend: both teams are yet to name a fifth man.

At the latest edition of the TV show Monday Night RAW, it was hinted that an old acquaintance will join Reigns: his long-time companion Seth Rollins, who has been courted by Zayn – so far in vain.

Two-thirds of The Shield reunited soon?

Remind: Reigns and Rollins began their WWE career together at the end of 2012 as part of The Shield with Dean Ambrose (now World Champion of competitor AEW as Jon Moxley).

WWE’s story world has brought the two together and apart several times since then, most recently at WrestleMania when Rollins was involved in the end of Reigns’ record three-and-a-half-year reign as WWE Universal Champion and teamed up with successor Cody Rhodes on Day 1 against Reigns and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Reigns and Rollins have not been partners since the last Shield reunion before Ambrose’s departure in 2019. Now WWE seems to be going back to the old gang.

World Title Match also official

At RAW, both Zayn and Sikoa offered Rollins a place on their team, but Rollins gave them both the cold shoulder: he told Zayn that he knew Reigns better than anyone and was shocked that someone trusted him again, but that he would never side with Reigns again. He later told Sikoa, however, that he would not fight at the side of a “wannabe Roman Reigns” either.

Because the episode for next week was also recorded after RAW, it is already clear how it will continue: In this episode, Sikoa will help Rollins’ current archrival Bronson Reed to a victory over the “Visionary” – it is a similar scenario to what had previously driven Jey Uso back to Reigns’ side.

Also made official on RAW was the World Title Match between Champion Gunther and former titleholder Damian Priest, who had already earned the chance last week. Now Priest threatened the “ring general” from Austria in a confrontation to take the belt from him again – and later backed up his claim with a victory over Gunther’s German ally Ludwig Kaiser.
