The Würzburg basketball team has extended its winning streak in the BBL. In the Franconian derby, the Baskets celebrated their fifth win in a row with an 83:78 (28:35) victory at Bamberg Baskets – mainly thanks to a strong final quarter. After twelve games, Würzburg is in fifth place with a record of 8:4 wins.
MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg made short work of EWE Baskets Oldenburg, winning 104:80 (58:33). In the third evening game, BG Göttingen won the basement duel at MLP Academics Heidelberg by 113:109 (96:96, 49:45) after overtime
