The German wrestlers still have no chance at the World Championships in Belgrade. On the third last day of competition, freestyle specialist Kevin Henkel (70 kg) was eliminated in the hope round and missed a place in the small final. Johannes Mayer (92 kg) and Horst Lehr (57 kg) both lost early. For both of them, the best case scenario is that they will make it to the second round.
So far, no athlete of the German Wrestling Federation (DRB) made it into the fight for a medal.
