World Cup 2018: What Are the Last-Minute Deals and Is It Still Possible to Attend?

If you have been deliberating over travelling to Russia for the World Cup 2018 or wanted to wait before getting tickets, we have all of the information you need to help make your choice. There are still some ticket deals available if you want to go and experience the matches in person.

There have been safety concerns leading up to the tournament, with MPs in the UK again giving a warning to travellers amid worries that there could be trouble. So if you are heading to Russia, be alert to any dangers.

Rather than needing a Russian visa, you will need to get a Fan ID before you can get into Russia. New allocations of tickets have gone on sale today, with foreign fans now being able to purchase the cheaper tickets that are available.

Where can I buy tickets?

Simply head to the official FIFA tickets website and complete your application and find out which tickets are available. Group match tickets can be bought for around £150 or you can get really cheap tickets for the less popular games. Tickets bought from anywhere other than FIFA will get cancelled, so it is not worth trying to buy from a ticket tout.

If you are travelling from the UK, the shortest journey to watch England is for the game against Belgium in Kaliningrad on 28 June. If you are not bothered about which teams you watch and just want to go to a World Cup game then you should be able to easily pick up cheap tickets for a game like Panama v Tunisia, which are going for about £15.

Tickets will be up for sale from today all the way up to the Final, which takes place at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on 15 July. Make sure you check flight and accommodation availability for the game you are looking at attending, as some of the stadiums are very far apart from each other.
