The Wolfsburg defender suffered a muscle injury in her left thigh in preparation for the two matches with the national team, the Bundesliga club announced on Friday. The 29-year-old had therefore already left the national team early. The German team will face Bulgaria in Cottbus on Saturday.
VfL’s schedule continues at the end of September with a DFB Cup match at MSV Duisburg (27 September), before away games in the Bundesliga at SC Freiburg (2 October) and in the Champions League at Chelsea LFC (6 October) follow in early October.
Doorsoun has been playing in Wolfsburg since 2018 and has since celebrated two title wins in the championship (2019, 2020) and three in the cup (2019, 2020, 2021) with VfL.
