With the new season, Rocket League kicks off its seventh anniversary. A birthday event is coming up in the next few weeks, and there are also changes to the training mode.
Developer Psyonix is not only ringing in the new season in Rocket League these days, but also the preparations for the seventh birthday. The summer anniversary event has already been announced for this occasion. The Californian developer studio will announce which special gameplay challenges and game modes will be available in the coming weeks.
However, a new variant of the arena Utopia Colosseum has already been implemented:
– Marble floor with water moats on the outer lanes. As with other arenas, these changes are exclusively of an optical nature.
– Gilding of, for example, statues or frames of the entrances at the promenade
Self-determined in training mode
In addition, the custom training mode gets an update. In this, players can create and upload training scenarios
A change long requested by the community now lets players determine the sequence of the different levels of an exercise. In addition, progress in these will be saved in future. This means that players can work on different exercise packages at the same time.
The update is completed by two further functions. On the one hand, users can now choose on which side they want to practise a shot, for example. However, this should only result in visual changes, although gameplay differences in the arenas have recently become known.
Other Season 7 “shine-through” content:
– Tiara car attachment and paint job
– Player anthems, including Eurovision Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst
