There has been talk about Willian joining up with former manager Mourinho at Manchester United for a big part of last season. Now that Brazil have been knocked out of the World Cup, the future of their stars that may be on the move will soon be decided. When Mourinho went back to his old club to sign Matic, many football experts and fans alike were surprised that they let him go to a Premier League rival. He went on to have a dominating season at United, who finished second, whilst Chelsea struggled to find a rhythm and missed out on that lucrative Champions League place.
United to bid £60m for Willian
Now Manchester United are planning on raiding Chelsea again for the energetic Brazilian Willian. They are planning a £60 million bid that will test whether they are prepared to let him follow Matic to Manchester. Chelsea are expected to part ways with manager Conte after a disappointing season and rumoured next manager Maurizio Sarri will no doubt want to bring in some players to put his own stamp on the team. So Chelsea may well be open to letting Willian go in order to make room for an overhaul.
Big Chelsea exodus on the cards?
Other players being linked with moves away from Chelsea include Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois, who, both are impressing in Russia as they have helped Belgium reach the semi-finals of the World Cup. Their futures will also be decided when the World Cup is over next weekend. They are all world-class players that will be disappointed that Chelsea did not secure Champions League football for the upcoming season. Hazard has looked like a player with a huge weight on his shoulders in a Chelsea kit but he has enjoyed a great World Cup tournament with Belgium so far. If Real Madrid comes in for him, he is expected to want to make the move to La Liga.
If Ronaldo completes his move to Juventus then Real Madrid will be looking for a new Galactico and Hazard could be their top target. Before that, Chelsea will probably have to respond to a big bid for Willian from Manchester United.
