It was an impressive performance that Muhammad Mokaev put on at UFC London.
The 21-year-old, nicknamed “The Punisher”, made short work of Cody Durdun. He dominated his opponent from the start and won the fight in just 58 seconds – the second fastest finish by submission in flyweight history.
Mokaev’s performance also impressed someone who was a guest at the event: Anthony Joshua. The two-time world boxing champion was extremely taken with Mokaev’s performance. In response to a tweet that “The Punisher” would be the future GOAT, AJ replied, “I agree. “
Makaev has only been a part of the UFC for a few months, but already made his presence felt there. “The Punisher” won all of his first seven fights. He is being compared to former UFC champ Khabib Nurmagomedov. Both come from the Russian republic of Dagestan.
