For Alexander Zverev and Co., the ATP Finals in Turin are worth millions. Should a player remain undefeated in his three group matches at the men’s tennis season-ender and then win the tournament, he pockets a good 4.88 million US dollars (around 4.5 million euros).
This means that the winner will earn more than at a Grand Slam triumph. At the US Open in New York, the winner’s check was for around 3.6 million US dollars.
At the ATP Finals in Turin, the entry fee for the three group matches totals 331,000 US dollars. Each victory in a group match is worth an additional 396,500 US dollars. Winning the semi-final is worth more than a million, while success in the final brings in 2.237 million US dollars.
The focus is on the individual players. The prize money is lower in the doubles. In the competition in which the Davis Cup duo Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz are taking part, the undefeated winning doubles team will earn $959,300 (around €895,000).
