The next pack – and again no player from the recently released TOTY. Numerous users of Football Ultimate Team (FUT) in FC 24 currently seem to be experiencing the same thing, as can often be read on social media. There, the community is venting its anger. But not about their bad luck with the loot boxes, but about the adjusted pack probability of receiving a player from the TOTY promo.
Screenshots on various platforms show that the numbers have decreased. For the Premium TOTY pack, for example, the probability fell from 5.1 percent to 2.9 percent after 7 p.m. on Thursday and even to 2.8 percent a little later. However, the arrow is not only pointing downwards for these items – Gold 90+ players are also affected. In contrast, the chance of drawing a TOTY icon has increased. In this case, the probability improved from 1.3 to 1.5 percent. The question remains as to the intention behind this. Is the intention really to bind FUT players to their packs for longer?
Average value from all scales?
The TOTY special cards always appear in staggered packs, starting with the forwards. After the defenders and goalkeepers have had their turn, all the items in the loot boxes are available again at the end.
An explanation can also be found in the comments. According to this, the value is averaged for a chance. After all, it takes more time and money to draw the Mbappé item than the Frimpong item. Not only because there are fewer strikers than defenders, but also because of the overall rating. If this is the case, the publisher’s adjustment would be nothing new. It is questionable why it is making big waves this year – EA SPORTS has not commented on the community’s accusations.
