VfB Stuttgart can continue to rely on its fans despite its sporting slump. All tickets in the guest contingent at TSG are sold out and all away supporters pay the same price thanks to the team – whether standing or seated.
2200 tickets were available to VfB for the extremely important away game in Hoffenheim on Friday evening and all were sold out within a short time. Tickets in the standing area of the guest block were available for 18 euros, the remaining seat tickets cost 37 euros – plus two euros advance booking fee, which the visiting club is entitled to but which VfB waived. The “Stuttgarter Zeitung” also reports that TSG caused trouble by charging a top match surcharge for the neighbourhood duel.
The VfB, however, wanted to take as many fans as possible to the Kraichgau and therefore jumped in. “Tickets in the guest block were available for 18 euros. Our team pays the difference to the seat price,” the club announced.
Endo: “Thank you for always being behind us!”
“Together with our fans behind us, we will throw everything in to take points home,” said VfB captain Wataru Endo. “The support from the stands is worth its weight in gold and that’s why we’re also supporting the campaign from our team coffers. We are very happy that so many VfB fans will be accompanying us. Thank you for always being behind us!”
Hoffenheim expects only 15,000 to 18,000 fans for the floodlit match. Although 22,000 spectators would be allowed. So the Swabians hope that there will be more than 2200 fans supporting the relegation-threatened VfB.
