VfB loan Milosevic to St. Gallen once again

FC St. Gallen have taken a liking to Jovan Milosevic. The talented striker from VfB Stuttgart will continue to hunt goals for the Espen in the coming season

Milosevic had already gained match practice at St. Gallen after the winter break last season. The first loan deal with VfB Stuttgart will now be followed by a second, as both clubs revealed on Thursday. The 18-year-old Serbian striker will also be on the hunt for goals for FCSG in the 2024/25 season, once again with the number 90 on his back

Train to goal and will to win

“Jovan is a playful and agile striker who has finishing qualities,” said Espen sports director Roger Stilz, praising the young VfB talent’s abilities. For his “still young age”, Milosevic is “self-confident and courageous. His drive for goal and not least his desire to win” should help St. Gallen once again in the new season. The three goals in eleven appearances so far should therefore be followed by further moments of success.

Milosevic moved to Stuttgart from FC Vojvodina Novi Sad for €1.2 million in the summer of 2023. Between August 2023 and January 2024, he made five substitute appearances for VfB in the Bundesliga and one in the cup before moving on to eastern Switzerland

The joys and sorrows of his debut at Kybunpark

His debut at Kybunpark on February 17 was to the delight of the home fans: Milosevic, called into the starting line-up by current Bochum coach Peter Zeidler, scored after just six minutes to give the Espen the lead in a 2-2 draw against FC Winterthur. However, he then had to take weeks off due to injury and was only able to demonstrate his qualities again in April and May
