Valorant European Qualifier: The suffering of the German teams

The German teams had big problems at the European Qualifier for the Stage 2 Masters. No team has been able to convince so far. Elimination is looming.

Three games with German participation, three defeats: On the third day of the Valorant Challengers, the teams from G2 Esports, BIG and FOKUS each conceded a defeat. The situation is now precarious for all teams.

Bottom of the table twice

League newcomer FOKUS experienced a particularly bitter awakening. The German champions and Challengers promoted team are in last place in Group A with three defeats after losing 2-0 to FunPlus Phoenix. Despite good performances, the team has not been able to celebrate a victory so far.

Also bottom of the table, with a score of 0:3, is Berlin International Gaming (BIG) in Group B. This is the young team’s first appearance in a tournament series, with a crushing 0:5 in the Stage 1 Qualifier. Despite high hopes for this tournament, the team is again facing a winless exit.

But the more experienced G2 Esports team is also struggling. The second capital selection also suffered a defeat last matchday, losing 2-1 to previously unsuccessful team OG LDN UTD. Unlike their counterparts, G2 Esports is still in fourth place in Group A. So there is still a chance of advancing.

There are still two match days to be played in the group stage of the Stage 2 Masters Qualifiers in Europe. The playoffs will continue from 17 June.
