Only three teams remain unbeaten in World Cup qualifying in North and Central America after Panama lost in El Salvador. The USA, meanwhile, celebrate a must-win victory over Jamaica.
Enrico Hernandez of FC Eindhoven sent the El Salvador fans into jubilation with his goal. The striker, who also holds a Dutch passport, gave the home side their first three points in the final qualifying phase in North and Central America. El Salvador, like their opponents Panama, are now on five points. Panama still hold fourth place, which entitles them to play-off matches against a team from the Asian group.
