We are Football had been quiet for a long time. Now it has been announced that a new installment will be released. The second installment of the series will be released on March 4. With some new features, but also a bitter loss: unlike its predecessor, there are no Bundesliga licenses this time. Accordingly, clubs such as Einheit Frankfurt, Bavaria München and Stier Leipzig will be playing in the German leagues for the time being.
Sports Interactive’s FM therefore has the manager monopoly for these rights. However, there is still a small loophole: As known from Anstoss, it is possible to edit all entries via the editor. This also includes league and promotion rules. Speaking of Football Manager, one major difference is that the focus is not only on coaching, but also on other aspects of the clubs such as fan support or club grounds.
For the first time in 3D
Remodeled or newly built stadiums can also be admired in the game in future. For the first time in We are Football, there is a schematic 3D match display from nine different camera perspectives, including slow motion or quick calculation. In addition, tactical instructions will be visible on the pitch – commands from the touchline will also be possible during a match. The “Tactical Analysis” option, which will celebrate its premiere, will also make it possible to view information on how the result was achieved. The transfer market has also been revised.
But it’s not just club coaches who can control the sporting destiny. To coincide with the European Championships taking place in Germany this summer, separate European Championship and World Cup modes are planned for men and women. You have the opportunity to manage a national team right at the start of a game. Or to receive offers during your career. A demo of the new title can already be played via Steam.
