Union Berlin trained for the last time this week on Thursday. Back with them: a two-fighting Max Kruse.
Berlin is not known as a carnival stronghold, but there was at least one person, goalkeeping coach Michael Gspurning, who also kept the carnival flag flying high in the capital. The Austrian showed up at training in a skirt and wig.
Nine days before the home derby against Hertha BSC on 20 November, Max Kruse also reported back. The attacker, who had been absent for the last few weeks due to a foot and thigh injury, was able to participate fully in training and even take part in duels in match practice. Nothing seems to stand in the way of his comeback.
As the 2G rule will be compulsory in Berlin from next week, the match can be attended by 22,012 spectators.
