“I hope it goes away at some point. As of right now, it’s not,” Taker replied in a Q&A for his podcast “Six Feet Under” on the topic of comeback thoughts: “It’s still hard for me, it still won’t let me go. Just the other day I said to my wife: I’m starting a comeback. Hopefully I’ve talked myself out of it by now.”

The struggle hasn’t stopped, as the Hall of Fame member now admits: “I knew my time was up. But I wasn’t ready for it. My body could no longer offer what my head and my heart wanted to offer the fans. But it was difficult. Being in the ring was half my life. And it’s no longer there. That leaves a huge gap in you. You then try to find something new, a new passion to fill that gap. But it can also just be that there’s nothing to fill that gap. “
After WWE retirement, now stage entertainer
The Texan’s family, who is married to ex-wrestler Michelle McCool, is at the center of Calaway’s new life.
The Taker also continues to make stage appearances for his fans, including his irregular “One Man Show”, where he tells anecdotes from his life. The next event of this kind will take place shortly before the WWE mega show WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia at the beginning of April
