BBL title holders ratiopharm Ulm continue to make changes to their squad for the coming season.
The team from the Danube city have signed Dakota Mathias and thus completed their preliminary squad planning, according to their own statement. The US American is expected to add variability and exude danger from the three-point line, the BBL side announced on Tuesday. Last season, the 28-year-old played in his homeland for Memphis Hustle and Tenerife in Spain.
With the new signing of Mathias, it is also certain that Brandon Paul will not return to Ulm. He was re-signed last season and was under contract with ratiopharm for seven months.
Only on Monday, Ulm had landed the Brazilian point guard Georginho.
For the champions, who have undergone major changes in terms of personnel, the new BBL season starts on 27 September with a home game against the Chemnitz 99ers. However, the defending champions will not be represented in the Euroleague. In the top flight, Alba Berlin and Bayern Munich will once again be competing.
