With UFL, Strikerz Inc. wants to compete with the top dogs. One means: player participation in the development process. What can be co-determined?
Srikerz Inc. had already announced at the beginning of the year that communication with the fans should not be a one-way street. A mixture of transparency but also feedback and participation should keep the players in line during the development process.
After having already presented transparency about ongoing updates and Q&As, the publisher and developer headquartered in Cyprus is currently also implementing participation measures.
Discord as a tool for participation
The first of several planned surveys is currently running on the Discord platform. Through these, players will be able to contribute their ideas in order to create a game experience that corresponds to the wishes of the community.
The current poll will initially focus on cutscenes. In addition to questions about game modes and the frequency with which cutscenes are consumed, Strikerz Inc. also wants to know what kind of cutscenes players like best.
There are four alternatives to choose from: Reactions of the players on the field, action scenes in which the referee hands out cards or a free-kick wall is formed, for example, player and team statistics and replays.
At first glance, this is only a small thing, but it could put a stop to what are occasionally described as “toxic” lengthy cutscenes. When the opponent lets goal celebrations run in their entirety, this always leads to displeasure among FIFA players.
If you want to participate in the current and future polls and find out the results before anyone else, you can do so here on the UFL Discord.
