Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached the final of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Mason, Ohio, near Cincinnati. The 24-year-old Greek beat world tennis number one Daniil Medvedev of Russia 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 6-3 in the semi-finals.
Tsitsipas took revenge for his semi-final defeat at the Australian Open at the end of January. In the final, Tsitsipas will face Borna Coric of Croatia, who followed Rafael Nadal, Roberto Bautista Agut and FĂ©lix Auger-Aliassime in defeating Cameron Norrie of Great Britain 6-3, 6-4 in the semi-finals. Ranked 152nd in the world, Coric is the lowest-ranked finalist in tournament history. The 25-year-old had temporarily dropped to 278th place due to a shoulder injury.
