Stefanos Tsitsipas has reached the final of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Mason, Ohio, near Cincinnati. The 24-year-old Greek beat world tennis number one Daniil Medvedev of Russia 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 6-3 in the semi-finals.
Tsitsipas took revenge for his semi-final defeat at the Australian Open at the end of January. In the final, Tsitsipas will face Borna Coric of Croatia, who followed Rafael Nadal, Roberto Bautista Agut and Félix Auger-Aliassime in defeating Cameron Norrie of Great Britain 6-3, 6-4 in the semi-finals. Ranked 152nd in the world, Coric is the lowest-ranked finalist in tournament history. The 25-year-old had temporarily dropped to 278th place due to a shoulder injury.
