Season 4 in eFootball 2023 is all about building teams and chasing titles. This is Konami’s way of paying tribute to the ending seasons of European football.
The seasons of European football are currently in the very hot phase. In the Bundesliga, for example, seven match days are still open to decide the champion. In these “difficult last games”, team building is a special factor for Konami: “Improving the individual skills of the players and developing the collective strength of the team are the two pillars of team building that can make the difference between winners and losers. “
Skill progress at “record pace “
The innovations in Season 4 of eFootball are correspondingly: First, there are now further measures to promote players. Specifically, it will be possible to let players learn more skills. The repertoire of items will be expanded by five slots from ten to 15.
In addition, the “skill transfer” is supposed to ensure progress “at record speed” by transferring experience points and skills from one player to another. However, GP, i.e. the playable in-game currency, will be due for this. The better the item whose values are to be transferred to a colleague, the more expensive the undertaking. This is not the only reason to carefully consider a “skill transfer”. Because in addition, the handing over actor is lost and deleted in the course of the handover.
Team management in focus
There are also organisational updates for team management. Firstly, contract extensions over 10 days will be introduced as a reward. Alternatively, you can get the working papers by thinning out the squad: Dismissed 5-star players who do not meet the “standard” type will in future not only drop GP and training items, but also contracts.
However, such separations will no longer be necessary – at least not for reasons of space. The 500 available player slots will be expandable with immediate effect. Up to 900 virtual kickers can theoretically remain in the club at the same time. But there is a catch: the inventory can only be increased in steps of 50 players, each time costing 500,000 GP. So if the maximum amount is to be used up, a whopping 4 million GP will be required.
More teams eligible to play
Finally, there will be more authentic teams in the tryout mode. Big names like Manchester United, FC Barcelona or Inter Milan will now be joined by teams from the AFC Champions League, the Asian premier league, and the Thai League. While these two competitions are also approaching their climax, eFootball breaks with its premise elsewhere.
For teams from the American MLS will also be available for matches. Major League Soccer follows a different rhythm and started the new season only a few weeks ago. This means that a total of 235 teams are now available in “tryout” mode.
